Abraham Lincoln got elected president and is known a opponent of slavery, the legislure of South Carolina perceived a threat. The delegates voted to remove the state south Carolina from the union and be known as the United States. The secssion of South Carolina was a leader to Florida, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgeia.

We know that the Civil War is bad for people because they have to suffer for food, shelter, good jobs, and money.I would not want to live in the olden days like that with Civil War going on and suffering!!!

Family Life During The Civil War

Payton B.- The Civil War split people apart, such as families and friends and brothers fought brothers in the Civil War. They didn't like any minute of it.

What led to the division of our country in the war

Cooper A.- The North and the south thought they coud go out there and just beat them by a land slide.
The North went to war with the south to end slavery and to get more poeple in the factorers.
The South went to war to save SLAVERY because they need people to work in the fields.

Payton B.- Slavery between North and South were leading the causes of the Civil War. The anti-slavery movements were seen as threats to the Economy in the North.

Morgan R- The strategies of the South was, wanted independence and would defend. Could win if the North gives up or doesn't want to fight. They know things about their territory and can choose what they want to do.The Strategies of the North was,wanting to put down the rebellion.Have a blockade.Wanted to have more money,men,.The First Battle,was on July 16,1861 when it started.The battle would become war.North was winning 'till South's reinforcements arrived.The battle turns with the North,a panicked stampede to Washington D.C. Confederates chose not to take Washington D.C. 30,000 men were on each side.Ending of the war,confederate soldiers were tired and starving at the end of the war.The confederate army reduced in size and their strength.
